If you’re downtown or in areas of the city where there are lots of hotels, you can’t miss them–firefighters are everywhere. Naturally, next you look for smoke and flames but you’re more likely to spot dollars. Spending. That’s what happens when large conventions come to Indianapolis. Conventioneers leave an economic impact. And, there’s no disappointment as more than 30,000 firefighters have come again to the city this week for the Fire Department Instructors Conference. Instructors are holding training sessions during the 2015 event at several locations in Westfield and Wayne Township. Officials say this convention generates about $35-to-$40 million for the city.

Welcome First Responders!!!
