The Bible is all around us in real life examples and applications. People hear scripture readings in church and treat them  as distant unreliable missives from a long time ago. Some people are angered by the words and think of them as fairy tale moral edicts that no human can use practically.

In reality, we have a good directive in them. We have the Good Samaritan (Luke 10) laws,  the conscious welcome home of someone who has failed (Luke 15), and look for the Promised Land (Exodus 3, Hebrews 11).

The bible is our guide. If we relied on the words and put them into action on we would all feel better.
