According to the European Heart Journal, studies show that you should spend at least 2 hours of your day standing up.  Participants in the study were tracked for 24 hours a day, and data showed that those who spent 2 extra hours a day standing had a lower BMI, improved blood sugar levels, and improved cholesterol levels.
