Jacksonville Jaguars v Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning had his sights set on surpassing Bret Favre for the all time career passing yardage record.  Manning had a chance to do it last week when the Broncos came to town to face the Colts.  He was so close late in the 4th quarter, only three yards away, but then he threw an interception which ultimately ended the game.

Well, Manning redeemed himself yesterday, sort of.  He ended up throwing an interception at the beginning of the game, so the record had to wait just a bit longer.  Manning did end up getting those three yards he needed to break the record, but he also ended up playing the worst game of his career.  Dealing with foot and rib injuries, Manning ended up being benched in the third quarter due to throwing four interceptions.  Manning stated, “It’s really disappointing. I put our team in bad positions all day.”

Will Manning join Luck in the “starters sitting it out club” for a few weeks?  We will just have to wait and see.  You can read more on the record breaking game here.
