NFL: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers

Normally, forcing a backup quarterback to come in and play after the starter is injured is a good thing for a defense, but that was not the case for the Cleveland Browns against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field Sunday.

An ankle injury knocked Steelers quarterback Landry Jones out of play on the first series of the game, but that proved to be the downfall, as normal starter Ben Roethlisberger, himself suffering from an ailing left foot, came into the game and led three touchdown drives in a 30-9 win over the Browns.

Roethlisberger completed 22 of his 33 throws for 379 yards and three touchdowns against one interception in leading the Steelers (6-4) to the victory.

Despite getting a 372-yard, one-touchdown performance out of quarterback Johnny Manziel, the Browns fell to 2-8, and have now lost five straight games, all of which have been by at least 14 points. The Browns have now given up at least 30 points in three straight games, 24 or more in eight consecutive contests.
