Michael Strahan has been co-hosting ABC’s Live With Kelly & Michael since 2012, but his journey on the show is coming to an end. Strahan is reportedly leaving the show to be a full-time host on ABC’s Good Morning America.
It has been reported that Kelly Ripa, who has been co-host of Live since 2001, wasn’t aware that Strahan would be leaving the show. The deal and decision apparently came about just six days ago. Sources say that Strahan, who has been a frequent guest on GMA for years, says that he wanted to make the move so he could cover a more broad spectrum of topics.
The former NFL star will join GMA full-time this coming September. Live will be holding try outs when the new season kicks off this coming fall. You can read more on the story here and here.
