Earlier this year, Malia Obama went on college visits that started a wave whispers across campuses all over the US wondering where she would choose to attend this coming fall. Obama will be graduating this June from a private school in D.C., but she will not be attending college this coming fall. Obama will be taking a “gap year” and then attend Harvard University fall of 2017.
Obama is waiting for her father’s Presidential term to be up before she goes off to Harvard. She also may be taking a gap year to lay low for a while, as she was publicly scrutinized for attending a party while on a college visit earlier this year. She had a pretty busy summer last year, when she was an intern on Lena Dunham’s HBO series, Girls.
It’s no surprise that Obama has chosen to attend Harvard in the future, as her father attended Harvard Law School. You can read more on the story here.
