A few weeks ago, there were whispers of Whoopi Goldberg possibly leaving ABC’s The View. It is now being reported by the Daily Mail that She has signed a one year contract of $2.5 million to stay on the daytime talk show.
Goldberg’s contract will remain four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Her previous four-year contract that just ended was for $5 million a year. Many speculated the previous whispers of Goldberg leaving the show were purely for contract negotiation purposes, which makes sense considering she received a $2.5 million pay cut.
Co-hosts Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron-Bure and Raven-Symone are all rumored to be exiting the show between now and July. You can read more on the story here.
