Jennifer Hudson arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards this past week in a beautiful black and red gown, but later changed into a crystal covered jumpsuit when she took the stage to honor Prince.

The jumpsuit was a custom designed by Kaufman Franco, and took 13 people over 1,000 hours to hand embellish nearly 1.7 million Swarovski crystals on it.
Hudson revealed, “It’s heavy, but it’s still moveable luckily.” She continued, “It takes some training. You have to take a minute to walk in it to pace yourself — how it moves and how to move in it and how to wear it.”
