Our favorite doubles tennis duo has now lost their first ever Olympics doubles match in the first round of the 2016 Rio games.  Venus and Serena Williams have dominated the women’s tennis game over the years, but the sisters fell short to the Czech team of Lucie Safarova and Barbora Strycova.

The Czech doubles team dominated in two matches with a score of 6-3, 6-4, with the match lasting a total of 93 minutes.

The Williams sisters’ record previous to this loss was 15-0 at the Olympic games.  They brought home the gold in women’s doubles in 2000, 2008, and 2012.  The sisters didn’t compete in the 2004 games due to Serena having an injury.

Serena will continue her chase for gold later today in the second round of the women’s singles title. Bring home the gold!  Read more on the story here.
