Sister Marches to the Women’s March on Washington are being held to accompany the main march in Washington D.C. on Saturday, that’s one day after the Trump/Pence Inauguration, including right here in Indy. Demonstrators will bring their concerns to the nation’s capital as well as around the world. Indianapolis organizers are planning the Hoosier march downtown on the grounds of the Indiana Statehouse and government center with an 11 a.m. kickoff. While the finishing touches were being put together for the event here in Indy, I caught up with the lead organizer of Indiana’s ‘Sister March’, Terri Lynn-Siler. Siler joins me for a special edition of “Access Indy with Kim Wells” to discuss the march, reasons for it and the next step of activism long after the event clean up is complete.

The theme of the Women’s March on Washington is “The Rise of the Woman = The Rise of the Nation.”
