Bishop Marvin Sapp, of national gospel fame, will begin officiating Muskegon church services this weekend.

Lighthouse Full Life Center Church will hold its Muskegon grand opening and first church service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, at the former St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church, 1292 Jefferson St., in downtown Muskegon.

“When I first started Lighthouse, I knew that I was called to serve not only my city of Grand Rapids, but the region,” Sapp said in a release on Tuesday, March 28. “I had been praying about where to go and asking God to give me direction. I would have planted a new church before now, but I have been focused on raising my kids.”

An employee at the Grand Rapids location said the Muskegon services will be the same as the ones held at 10 a.m. on Sundays at 2415 Madison Ave SE, Grand Rapids.
