“Applications are now open for Indiana Humanities CARES Grants, which are designed to distribute funding relief to nonprofit organizations that provide public humanities programming and have faced financial hardship during the current COVID-19 pandemic.”

The grants will range from $5,000 to $15,000, depending on the size of the organization’s budget and can be used only for general operating support.

Funding for the grants, which will be administered by Indiana Humanities, has been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan appropriated by the U.S. Congress. More than $500,000 will be awarded to Indiana humanities organizations.

Marian University Indianapolis to award an additional $5 million in scholarship support for high school seniors enrolled in Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars program!

***50 Full-Tuition Scholarships will be given***

Scholarships will help students who may have been financially impacted by COVID-19.

“In an effort to support families impacted by the recent significant economic downturn, Marian University will award 50 full-tuition scholarships to high school seniors in Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars program who enroll as freshmen during the 2020-2021 academic year. 21st Century Scholars is a State-funded program that provides tuition scholarships to students who enroll in the program during seventh or eighth grade, and meet income-eligibility, academic performance, and other requirements throughout high school.”

Indiana Arts Commission Relief Fund

The Indiana Arts Commission announces the Indiana Arts Emergency Relief Fund to support Indiana’s arts organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indiana Arts Emergency Relief Fund program is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC), and Arts Midwest with funding provided by the CARES Act.

Eligibility

Fiscal year 2020 Arts Organization Support (AOS) I, II, and III grant recipients of the IAC are eligible for funding and will be awarded fixed amounts of approximately $2,500 – $3,000. These funds are not competitive, and all eligible organizations will be awarded funds upon the successful completion of a required form assigned in the online grant system.

How to Access Funds

Eligible AOS grant recipients should log into their online account to complete the assigned “2020 Indiana Arts Emergency Relief Fund” form. The form should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

The deadline for AOS organizations to request funding is May 15, 2020.
