(http://www.blackgirlsrock.org/) This year , founder Beverly Bond, collaborated with BET Networks to broadcast the  5th annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc. Awards.The show took place on Oct. 16   at the Paradise Theater in NYC.  It will air nationally on BET on November 7, 2010.

Black Girls Rock! is a movement for the numerous achievements and contributions from women of color in their various careers, who shine as an inspiration and POSITIVE role model in their communities.

There were many positive vibes and love shown at the BLACK GIRLS Rock! Inc. show. Check out the photos to see who was in attendance. There were many top name celebrities  with presenters and performances from:  Keyshia Cole, Monica, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Fantasia, Estelle, Shontelle, Jill Scott, and Marsha Ambrosius helped pay homage to honorees including Keke Palmer, Raven-Symoné, Ruby Dee, and Missy Elliott, who was presented with her second Visionary Award by collaborator Ciara.

In 2006, Beverly Bond  a  model, DJ and a visionary  for hip hop created, BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc. a  non-profit organization, dedicated to healthy development of young women and girls started their journey to empowering women through building self-esteem, self worth of women of color by changing their goals and outlook in life, and broadening their horizons.

The organization prides itself on taking an active role in being part of the solution to issues young women of color face. This past four years, they have raised awareness and opportunities for girls ranging from age 12 to 17 through mentorship, cultural exploration, public service,  and arts education.

BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc., has enrichment programs and opportunities that hold a special emphasis on personal development through cooperative learning and arts.
