About Callie Douglas

Callie Douglas is a native North Carolinian. Her career has been a series of twists, turns, and unbelievable encounters. She has excelled in the media industry for well over twenty years. Although a seasoned professional, Callie isn’t afraid to have a good time.

A kid at heart she feels that most people take themselves much too seriously. “I have long given up waiting to change from my childlike fascination with life,” notes Callie. “I will constantly be amazed by the human existence on this big blue ball called Earth.”

Callie names her family as her biggest success. “I am blessed to have an adoring husband and three wonderful daughters. They are my anchor.” The Carolina native has been married for nearly thirty years and she is proud to say her daughters have exceeded her own academic achievements. At times she says she can hardly believe that she has been blessed with such a loving and devoted family.

“I consider it all joy that I am a part of The Light 103.9’s on-air staff and thank God each and every day for an opportunity to share in His music ministry.”

Callie dreams to one day have her own television talk show.

Millions of Americans may owe the government money because of how the Internal Revenue Service set up the president’s tax break last spring. President Obama’s tax break was designed to help consumers spend the economy out of a recession. But ten percent of taxpayers may now owe Uncle Sam $250 or more. “People will have […]

There’s no doubt that Boyz II Men know a little something about love. Sarah Palin said a run for the White House in 2012 is “not on my radar screen right now” as the Republican carefully did not close the door to a possible candidacy in an interview that launched her big book tour. Palin spoke to TV talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey as she began the roll-out […]

The death of Tom Sparks, a 33-year-old former TV host from California who was participating as a third-season contestant on ABC’s reality show “Wipeout,” likely was caused by a pre-existing condition, but the Los Angeles County coroner’s office is still examining all possibilities. Sparks died on November 5 of an apparent stroke that his doctors […]

Captain Morgan may have pulled off the quietest and shortest-lived advertising ambush in sports history last Sunday. One that was almost universally unknown, barely noticed, and yet, promptly squashed by the NFL this week. Like the other 21.9 million viewers watching the Dallas Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, you probably missed it. […]

Last year, Michael Jordan’s oldest son, Jeff Jordan, decided he no longer wanted to play basketball for the Illinois Illini. This made sense at the time: Jordan’s entire life had revolved around basketball, and it’s clear he wasn’t going to obtain (and certainly didn’t need) a professional basketball career. So he decided to stop playing […]

The banned machines — a “small percentage” of the millions of Xbox 360s around the world — are alleged to have been modified in ways that […]

NBC always had small expectations for “The Jay Leno Show.” When it came to ratings, the network’s goal was modest because the show costs almost nothing to make compared to average 10pm dramas. But what’s going to happen to the great Jay Leno experiment now that the show isn’t even garnering the tiny audience NBC […]

LOS ANGELES — Simon Cowell is more than just the meanest man in primetime television, he’s also the best paid.   In an industry hammered by changing viewer habits and dwindling advertising dollars, the 50-year-old Brit and his Fox juggernaut, “American Idol,” continue to score record ratings and big money. Though the singing competition’s viewership […]
