About Callie Douglas

Callie Douglas is a native North Carolinian. Her career has been a series of twists, turns, and unbelievable encounters. She has excelled in the media industry for well over twenty years. Although a seasoned professional, Callie isn’t afraid to have a good time.

A kid at heart she feels that most people take themselves much too seriously. “I have long given up waiting to change from my childlike fascination with life,” notes Callie. “I will constantly be amazed by the human existence on this big blue ball called Earth.”

Callie names her family as her biggest success. “I am blessed to have an adoring husband and three wonderful daughters. They are my anchor.” The Carolina native has been married for nearly thirty years and she is proud to say her daughters have exceeded her own academic achievements. At times she says she can hardly believe that she has been blessed with such a loving and devoted family.

“I consider it all joy that I am a part of The Light 103.9’s on-air staff and thank God each and every day for an opportunity to share in His music ministry.”

Callie dreams to one day have her own television talk show.

Vikings coach Brad Childress arrived at the podium roughly 10 minutes late for his previously-scheduled press conference. Amazingly, he said nothing about the Brett Favre situation in his opening remarks. Even more amazingly, the first question had nothing to do with Favre. The second question dealt with the reason why we were all watching the […]

The Brett Favre saga continues, but could be coming to an end. Sources told FOXSports.com that Favre has told teammates that he will not come back for his 20th season, citing wear and tear on his body. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that Favre told Vikings officials a similar message Monday night. But the team is […]

Entering training camp, Ravens starting cornerback  Domonique Foxworth was practically the only member of the team’s secondary that wasn’t injured. Now he’s out for the season. Multiple reports out of Baltimore indicate Foxworth tore his ACL, apparently during the Ravens’ non-contact “orientation” practice on Thursday.  (UPDATE: Ravens coach John Harbaugh quickly confirmed the news.) This […]

Fred Phelps’ controversial church, Westboro Baptist Church, is using the funerals of US soldiers as a chance to not only protest the Iraq war, but also the Catholic Church. Protesters hailing from Topeka Kansas bearing placards reading “God hates f***”, “The Pope is in Hell”, “God hates America”, and “God hates your tears” attended the […]

It’s a good thing the Giants have a lot of depth on the defensive line. Before training camp even starts comes word that the injury-wracked unit from a year ago already has a major concern.  Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports Osi Umenyiora has dealt with hip pain all offseason and visited a specialist […]

Earlier today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter described the Jets’ interest in receiver Terrell Owens at 20 percent. Now, ESPN.com’s Tim Graham reports that the interest is “minimal.” Maybe 20 percent is a synonym for minimal.  (We doubt it.)  Or maybe the interest had dropped from 20 percent earlier in the day to a much lower level […]
