
Caleb Grothberg of Portland, Ore., was arrested after allegedly choking his girlfriend with his dreadlocks, CBS affiliate KOIN 6-TV reports.
Portland police say that they responded to a domestic violence call at a residence on the 3200 block of Southeast 22nd Avenue around 2:30 a.m. A woman told them that 32-year-old Grothberg had assaulted her and then choked her with his dreadlocks. Officers found and arrested the man, after searching the neighborhood.
He faces counts of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and domestic violence.
