Incidents at churches involving deadly force are on the rise in the U.S. According to Charisma News Online, ministry security expert Carl Chinn says in 2012 there were 135 “deadly force incidents,” which account for a 36 percent increase over 2011. He says, quote, “Faith-based organizations must increase their awareness of, and preparation for, the accidental, criminal and environmental hazards capable of compromising their primary ministry purpose.”
