If you find yourself searching for divine intervention without devoting a ton of time, look no further than a church in Phoenix offering drive thru prayers.

This Christian convenience is catching on at the Living Streams Church off Central and Glendale Avenue.

“This is a place where people can pray for them easily,” said the church’s appropriately named pastor, Faith Cummings.

You don’t have to look to far to find a sign from God outside the church. That’s because there, literally, are signs that dot the grass landscape outside of the church offering passers-by the chance to pray without getting out of their cars.

“We’re so busy, but when things happen, you see the sign, oh my gosh there’s an answer,” said volunteer drive-thru prayer staffer Vikki Hernandez.

“The first question is often ‘How does this work,’” Cummings said.

She first thought up the idea two years ago as way to entice more people to conveniently access their faith.

“I wanted a place I could share God with people outside the church,” Cummings said.

“It’s just a great outreach. Something really different,” Hernandez said. “When the rubber meets the road, they know where to come.”

The drive-thru prayer is open from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, October through May.

Cummings told CBS 5 News the August edition of Hot Rod magazine is naming the church among one of the country’s top 10 drive-thru locations.
