A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. on Thursday. The National Weather Service says more than four-inches of snow accumulation is expected. The cold temperatures are providing the perfect atmosphere for accumulation. Snowfall will taper off during the day but may start again later in the evening hours. Morning traffic was somewhat helped by the fact that schools are still out for holiday breaks. Crews with the Department of Public Works are out on the roadways attempting to clear them of snow, however a travel advisory was issued in Hamilton County, north of Indianapolis. You are advised to be extremely careful if you have to head out today because the streets are slick and rather treacherous. Provide ample travel time to arrive at your destination safely.
