PR — On January 31, 2015 at 5:00pm, an event to attend will take place at Crusade Christian Faith Center 801 S. La Brea Ave., Inglewood, CA 90301, Bishop Virgil D. Patterson, Pastor. Calvin Bernard Rhone, in a Live Recording, will once again share songs of inspiration.
He came on the national scene in the early 1980s at the national convention of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, as a songwriter/musician with the late Reverend James Cleveland and the Los Angeles Gospel Messengers. In New York at Madison Square Gardens, “Jerusalem” took the country by storm. He later went on to compose hit songs for Tramaine Hawkins, Daryl Coley, Albertina Walker, and many others.
1992 welcomed him as a solo artist on the now defunct CGI Record label. He wowed the audience of Dr. Bobby Jones’ Explosion Awards with his captivating performance of the inspiring “Live In Me Jesus.” For several years, thereafter, he continued sharing notable songs like “It’s In The Praise,” “Allelujah, Praise Jehovah,” “I Really Love You”; and most recently, “God Is (The Strength of My Heart),’ recorded by Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers and Dewayne Woods.
Continuing to travel the USA and Japan as a Pastor-Teacher, Songwriter, Singer and Workshop Clinician; he now returns to center stage with new and old original compositions that will spiritually lift hearts and empower souls. January 31, 2015, 5:00pm is an evening not to be missed; a recording to be anticipated.
