0120-richard-pryor-swag-t-shirt-main-amazon-4Richard Pryor‘s widow is going-in on a clothing company with her legal team over a t-shirt featuring the late comic’s portrait. TMZ is reporting that Jennifer Lee Pryor is suing the company Fret Shirt for illegally using the comic’s image on a shirt that features a caption reading “SWAG.” She wants the company to hand over $5 million in damages for the shirts and to then halt their production. In her suit, Jennifer lays out how Fret Shirt is capitalizing off Pryor’s fame, even pointing out that he received five Grammy’s and an Emmy.

Indy’s own comedic actor, Mike Epps, is set to play the entertainment legend in an upcoming biopic helmed by Lee Daniels (“Empire”/”Precious”) and Oprah Winfrey (“Selma”).

Richard Pryor died in December 2005 of a heart attack, after suffering years of ill health including multiple sclerosis. The funnyman was age 65.
