Dr. Seuss Receives A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of FameDr. Suess In-Store Appearance

Indianapolis Public Schools has changed the time of its Dr. Seuss reading celebration today due to the icy weather across the city. Dr. Seuss was an American cartoonist and writer who created famous characters ranging from “The Cat in the Hat” to “The Grinch” to “The Lorax” and many others. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the Shortridge Magnet High School for Law and Public Policy cheerleaders will read their favorite Dr. Seuss selections to the elementary students at IPS/Butler Laboratory School 60 this afternoon at 1 p.m. The school is located at 3330 North Pennsylvania Street.

Dr. Seuss was born March 2, 1904.
