UPDATE:  Since the filing of this report, another shooting has occurred bringing the total of shootings in the city to five in the last 24 hours. This latest incident is in the neighborhood of the one on Howard where that victim was shot in the hand. In this one, police have responded to the shooting of a teenager where he was shot in the thigh in the 1800 block of Minnesota Street.  Police are continuing their investigations into this latest rash of shootings. They would still like you to call them at 317-262-TIPS (8477) if you have any info on any of these crimes.

It’s been a violent 24 hours in Indianapolis with the city’s northwest side seeing most of the action; the “Religious Freedom Bill” now awaits Gov. Mike Pence’s signature and as it does a major convention that visit the city has a message for the state’s chief; and a long-term Indiana Senator is also calling it quits–find out why.
