In this social media age, it’s no secret that lots of people hop online, spew negative opinions,

spread gossip and judge other people they don’t know.

But gospel singer and nationally syndicated radio host Erica Campbell says stop it! And she’s

sharing Scripture to help those that struggle in this area.

“I know we live in a world where everyone wants their voice heard. You want your voice heard

sometimes more than you want to get the information or to be fully informed on what it is you’re

talking about,” explained the host of Get Up Mornings! With Erica Campbell in an Instagram video

featuring a snippet of her “Faith Walk” radio segment.

“People will give a strong opinion and post stuff, and argue down, and they only have a part of the

information,” said the GRAMMY® Award-winning “Help” singer, while dressed in simple black shirt,

blue denim pants and sporting a honey-blonde bob with a center part.

To drive home her point with biblical backing, the first lady of California Worship Center, which she

leads alongside her husband, Pastor Warryn Campbell, shared four verses:

Ecclesiastes 5:3 – “A fool is known by the multitude of his word.”

Proverbs 18:2 – “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his

opinion.”

Proverbs 29:11 – “A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.”

Proverbs 1:7 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but a fool despises

wisdom and instruction.”

Campbell also took special time to recommend the book of Proverbs to Christians, stating that it is

full of helpful wisdom “to handle your life a little bit better.”

“I know that we all want to have something to say, but sometimes, you don’t even know what you’re

talking about,” said the member of the sister-duo Mary Mary.
