New York (NYPost)– A Brooklyn girl celebrating her 16th birthday was hit by a bullet fired from a cop’s gun and will never walk again, a new lawsuit against the city charges.
Kamesha Williams was at a friend’s house in Bed-Stuy on May 29, 2009, when two teens, including the shooter, Evan Bryant, started horsing around. Out came a gun that belonged to Bryant’s father, an NYPD cop, the lawsuit alleges.
“I was sitting on the couch texting on the phone,” Kamesha said. “Evan was just holding it, looking at it.”
