Less than a year after saying “I do,” Jessica Moreland, 30, and Jordan Rice, 31, lost their respective spouses. Moreland’s husband and “soul mate” Jaronn had a motorbike accident on May 15, 2009; severe injuries and major blood loss led to his eventual death on July 30. Rice’s wife died of stage four cancer (primary cardiac sarcoma, a rare cancer that develops in or on the heart) 10 months after their wedding.
