The increasing use by employers of background checks have many concerned about getting a job if they have had arrests or convictions in their past. To help educate the community, the Indiana State Police (ISP) appeared on Afternoons with Amos to explain their role as keeper of limited criminal history records for Hoosiers. ISP Capt. Ruben Marte, Lt. Darnell Letsinger and 1st Sgt. Dave Bursten explained the records policy. They also explained how individuals with clean records after 15 years can restrict who has access to their criminal history records. They also explained the procedure that individuals arrested, but never charged with an offense, can petition a court to get that information removed from their records.  Listen to the interview above.
