So, you can’t get enough of the weave-pulling, table-jumping, backstabbing antics of “Basketball Wives”? Never fear,  the ever resourceful Shaunie O’Neal has teamed with another beautiful mogul, Tracey Edmonds, to bring the scream-fest to the big screen, reports Variety.

Fox Searchlight acquired the as yet untitled pitch from the “Soul Food” and “Jumping the Broom” producer which will be written by Elizabeth Warren for Edmonds’ Our Stories Films.

Based loosely on O’Neal’s life with NBA legend, Shaquille O’Neal, the film will revolve around a wife who moves to Miami with her newly signed NBA husband. There she will meet interesting friends who are also “about that life” and we will get to see how they deal with fame, jealousy and each other.

“The beauty of a feature film is that we’ll have the ability to dig much deeper into the stories and characters that come from this very colorful world and create a very juicy action packed narrative,” Edmonds told Variety.

BBW is currently making major media waves as campaigns are springing up left and right in protest of the negative portrayal of women on the show. A recent boycott of the spin-off, “Ev and Ocho” was started by Alexis M and has gained over a thousand signatures.
