Afternoons with Amos and Amos Brown is putting out an appeal for HELP! We need to come together to do what we can to help a local youth program. In 1994, a local Black minister, Rev. Malachi Walker, began working with young Black boys in inner city neighborhoods. Young Men, Inc. is a summer youth program that combines educational programs, field trips and positive community service projects to instil positive qualities to our youth. Despite a proven track record, this eighteen year program doesn’t receive the funding it should from area foundations and companies.  In a WXIN/Fox 59 segment, Mayor Greg Ballard said he couldn’t help this positive youth program. So, Afternoons with Amos is appealing to our community to give whatever they can.  You can make checks or money orders out to Young Men Inc, c/o 3302 N Arsenal Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46218.  Or find out how you can help by calling 317-437-7937.
