Unleash the dog pound. Arsenio’s coming back. Actor and comedian Arsenio Hall said on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” Monday that he’s set to launch a new late night series.
“The Arsenio Hall Show” ran from 1989 to 1994. The series made Hall the first African-American late night talk show host. It was also groundbreaking in the fact that it was the first and, for a time, the only showcase for hip-hop artists. Arsenio also welcomed controversial guests to his show like Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan and became a television footnote when then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton dropped by the show to show off his saxophone-playing skills in 1992.
