President Barack Obama announced a comprehensive plan to reduce gun violence in America. Flanked by Vice-President Joe Biden, Mayors and from across the country and families of survivors of gun violence in Newtown and elsewhere, the President announced a number of steps he wants the hat he is taking immediate and other steps he wants the Congress to take to reduce gun violence in the country.  Included in the President’s plan is banning the sale of assault weapons and high capacity bullets and magazines.  The President’s plan also stresses mandatory background checks for all gun purchases, improve availability of mental health services to help schools and community help reduce violence and much more.
