Multi-platinum gospel recording artist Marvin Sapp is now Bishop Designate Sapp in “Gulf United Fellowship

(GUF) under the leadership of Bishop Neil C. Ellis.

The excited Michigan-based singer and pastor shared the big news of his elevation on Instagram Wednesday,

March 25.

Sapp received his “Bull of Intent” certificate in preparation for his official Episcopal Consecration in July.

The appointment of Sapp to this high office was first announced in 2014 at GUF’s “The Gathering” convention in

Winston Salem, NC.

“I’m indeed excited that Bishop Neil C. Ellis thought enough of me to want to bring me into the team,” said Sapp,

48, in an interview with Lift Your Voice Gospel show last year.

“I’m just honored to have this opportunity to be a part of something at the ground floor that is so great.”
