It’s Marvin Sapp’s 10th album and his 4th to shoot to #1 on the Gospel and Christian sales chart.

You Shall Live, an encouraging offering that inspires listeners to face hard times with faith, is resonating with fans.

It has been four years since the 22-time Stellar Award winner offered new music. His latest 11-track project, produced by Aaron Lindsay, features the hit single “Yes You Can.”

The 48-year-old, who has endured intense emotional struggles, said the music reflects both pain and strength.

In a behind-the-music interview, he said, “I’m not a victim, but I look at my life over the last five years and I know people who have given up for less than what I’ve had to go through.”

Sapp, who lost his wife MaLinda Sapp to colon cancer in 2010, said “You Shall Live is just a declaration. It says, no matter how messed up you may think your life may be, every day above ground is a good day.”
