Gabrielle Union joins an A-list voice cast for Disney Junior’s Lion King spinoff The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. Gabrielle will play the Nala, wife of Simba who is played by Rob Lowe. The TV movie continues the story set up by 1994’s epic movie The Lion King and follows Simba and Nala’s second born cub, Kion.
Gabrielle and Lowe are joined by fellow cast members Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), Max Charles (The Strain), Atticus Shaffer (The Middle) and more. James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa and Ernie Sabella will also return as Pumbaa.
