Pop superstars The Pointer Sisters, who got their start singing in the church, once topped the charts.
Ruth Pointer, who felt pressure to be “perfect” and set a Godly example, didn’t want that weight on her shoulders. So she strayed.
“I rebelled terribly once I became a teenager and really, really got into a lot of trouble,” she told CBN’s Scott Ross in an interview.
But her mother would just say, “I’m praying for you, baby. I love you.”
