You have probably already seen the viral video of Ball State freshman, Lemuel Turner, sinking a half court shot for free tuition during welcome week. Lem was featured on ESPN and various other media outlets, but he wrote in to the Ellen show in hopes that Ellen DeGeneres would see the video. Ellen did see the video, and invited Lem to join her on yesterday’s show. In his short interview, he spoke about sitting in the front row at the welcome week rally with his head down hoping he didn’t get picked for the half court shot.
If free tuition wasn’t sweet enough, Ellen wanted to do something special for the BSU freshman. She gave him 3 chances to make a basket to win a brand new Ford Focus. Check out the interview below!
