Remember that viral video of James Wright Chanel turning into Patti LaBelle after tasting one of her Sweet Potato Pies? Steve Harvey hasn’t forgotten, and he recently invited both LaBelle and Chanel on his show so he could see what all the fuss was about.
Patti pies were so popular, Walmart couldn’t keep up with the demand. Harvey invited LaBelle and Chanel on the show to squash rumors that the two were at odds with each other. Chanel says he loves LaBelle, and those rumors were simply not true. LaBelle had even invited Chanel to spend Thanksgiving with her.
Harvey picks up a plate with a slice of Patti’s Sweet Potato Pie on it and Chanel comments, “Get your Patti ready.” Harvey waited about ten seconds, leaving LaBelle worried he didn’t like her pie. Harvey then channeled his inner Patti and starts singing, imitating Chanel’s original reaction.
