A Star Is Born has been remade several times throughout the years, and it looks like Bradley Cooper is going to make his directorial debut remaking the classic once again. Sources close to Cooper have confirmed that Beyoncé has signed on for a lead role in the movie.
The film was originally made in 1937, and it was remade in 1954 starring Judy Garland and James Mason. In 1976 the film was remade again, starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. The story is centered around a movie star who helps a young singer/ actress find fame, despite the movie star’s own addiction to alcohol.
There is no word on who else will be joining the cast, and it’s reported that the movie hasn’t been funded yet. It could take a few years to even begin filming, but surely it will “Bey” great. You can read more about this story here.
