For the sixth year in a row during Easter week, faith-and-family television leader TBN will air The Passion of the Christ.
Mel Gibson’s classic big-screen epic, which debuted twelve years ago, has been embraced by believers the world over for its realistic and moving portrayal of the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Starring one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors, Jim Caviezel, as Jesus, The Passion of the Christ follows the path of the suffering Savior from his agonizing intercession in the Garden of Gethsemane and savage scourging at the hands of the Romans, to the final moments of his brutal crucifixion. Throughout this intense and emotion-packed film, Jesus is portrayed in all of his humanity while flashbacks of his life reveal his true divine nature.
Due to overwhelming requests from viewers, TBN will air The Passion of the Christ— unedited and with no commercial interruptions — throughout the week leading up to Easter Sunday.
