A local Jack In The Box has fallen victim to the latest prank call craze that is leaving numerous restaurants across the country damaged.  The Jack In The Box restaurant located at East 21st Street and Post Road received a prank call on Sunday night telling an employee that there was a gas leak.

The prank caller pretended to be a public safety official, and instructed the Jack In The Box employee to smash the windows to reduce pressure of the gas leak.  The caller also ordered that the fire extinguisher system be ripped out.  WISH reports that the fire extinguisher system has since been repaired, but the window has not.

This comes just days after a Minnesota Burger King fell victim to the same prank, where employees smashed dozens of windows that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.  You can read more on the story here.
