Legendary singer Prince has died, TMZ reports. He was 57-years-old. The Associated Press confirms the singer was found dead in his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.

Prince may have felt his death coming, TMZ reports. Sources close to Prince say he suddenly began writing a memoir a month ago, something he had procrastinated on for years. He allegedly finished 50 pages of the memoir.

On April 15, Prince’s private jet was forced to make an emergency landing Quad City International Airport, but the singer appeared in concert the next day where he reportedly told fans “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.” A rep for the singer told TMZ, he had been suffering from the flu. He had cancelled two shows prior to the most recent incident.

Prince last tweeted a link to his site ElecticFetus.com on April 18.

The legendary singer premiered on the music scene with his debut album “For you” and self-titled second album “Prince” in 1979.

His first number one album, Purple Rain earned him two Grammys and an Oscar.

The vibrant, eccentric singer will be remembered for his colorful performances, chart-topping hits, devotion to his fans, and the music that will live on forever.
