One of the most buzzed about movies from this year’s Sundance Film Festival focuses on the first date of Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson. The film titled Southside With you, takes place in Chicago on the summer of 1989.
Tika Sumpter plays a young Michelle who is a lawyer, and Parker Sawyers plays a young Barack Obama. In the trailer, Michelle convinces herself the day they will spend together is not a date, but we all know how the story ends.
