Gen Con – The Best Four Days in Gaming

Every August, thousands of gamers and sci-fi fans fill the convention center and surrounding spaces to share their passions with a like-minded community. Play the latest games, meet award-winning authors and artists, cosplay, attend a film fest, LARP, and so much more. Badges are $75-$120, but a family of four can attend for $45 on Sunday’sFamily Fun Day.

Indiana State Fair – Celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial

The highlight of summer, this year’s fair celebrates the state’s bicentennial with special exhibits and performances honoring our farming heritage. Visit through August 21 for the rides, concerts, games, races, animals, crafts, food (deep fried s’mores and BBQ pulled pork beer cheese fries!), pirate show, lumberjack shows, demolition derby, jousting, and more! Tickets are $8-$12.

Doc McStuffins – The Exhibit at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Opening Saturday, this exhibit is based on the Peabody Award-winning Disney Junior series which came about when the creator’s daughter needed surgery, but feared doctors and hospitals. Help the doc perform check-ups and learn healthy habits in this highly interactive experience through January 31, 2017. Included with museum admission of $18.50-$21.50.
