JEKALYN CARR ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF FIRST CHRISTMAS SONG
“YOU ARE OUR JOY CHRISTMAS”
ON THE HEELS OF #1 ALBUM, #1 SINGLE
Gospel prodigy, Jekalyn Carr, has enjoyed a stellar 2016 thus far, and all indications are that she’ll end the year just as triumphantly as she began. This year has produced the critically acclaimed coming-of-age project, The Life Project, produced by her father Allen Carr, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart, upon its August release.
Carr followed that blessing, and major industry feat, with another major achievement when the lead single from The Life Project, the faith anthem, “You Are Bigger,” also claimed the #1 positions on both the Billboard Gospel Airplay and Billboard Digital Gospel Singles charts.
Now in the fourth quarter of the year, Carr reflects upon all of that God has blessed her to accomplish, and felt compelled to release song of celebration – and “Joy” – just in time for the Christmas season. “You Are Our Joy Christmas” is a celebratory call to arms for all of God’s people to bear the love, peace, and joy of Christ as we enter the season in which we celebrate His birth. The song acknowledges Jesus Christ as the joy of our lives, and the hope of our salvation.
“You Are Our Joy Christmas” is an audible source of joy, and light, in the midst of all that is going on in the world today. With so much devastation, uncertainty, and chaos imminent in our nation and world, it is a necessary reminder for all believers to look to the hills, from whence cometh our help, just as the Bible commands.
