Chicago, IL — Dr. Charles G. Hayes and The Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir (The Warriors) have contributed timeless, life changing music to the Gospel music community for almost fifty years. The Chicago based musical force has given us the hits “Rise and Sing Forever”, “I’ll Never Forget” and “Turn It Over To The Lord” and “Jesus Can Work It Out” on The Remix album that held over 55 weeks on Billboards Top Gospel Albums, was #1 Inspirational Song on R&R Gospel Charts and garnered the choir two 2006 Stellar Awards.
The Warriors have returned with an all new, highly anticipated CD/DVD BACK AGAIN set to release in stores and online October 30 via Dr. Hayes’ new Cosmo Sounds record label and Central South Distribution. Their dynamic music ministry is delivered once again through their signature church stomping, hand clapping sound of great gospel music. The debut single “You Been Good” is rapidly soaring up Billboard’s Gospel Radio Chart.
“I am excited about our new release. After more than 30 records, you would think this would be an easy task, but we treated this recording like it was our first,” states Dr. Hayes. “We’re back again and being used as God’s vessel. We pray that listeners will experience the presence of God.”
Dr. Charles G. Hayes and The Warriors will have a CD release concert on Monday, Oct 29 at Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer, 840 E. 65th Street, Chicago, IL. The Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir was organized by Dr. Charles G. Hayes in 1959. The Choir, known as ‘The Warriors’ have contributed a rich legacy to Gospel music history with a vast catalog of classic songs and arrangements. They have also performed with Mahalia Jackson, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Rev. James Cleveland, The Mighty Clouds of Joy and numerous gospel artists in the United States and abroad.
