Barely five days into the job as Indiana’s 50th Governor, I caught up with Gov. Mike Pence at an event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King.  The Governor was at Watkins Park at an Dr. King Day of Service event sponsored by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.  The Governor talked about his admiration for Dr. King and agreed that he Dr. King were living he and Gov. Pence would lots of disagreements.  I also talked with the new Governor about his attending President Barack Obama’s second Inaugural, Pence’s upcoming State of the State Speech and about his Executive Order telling state agencies not to take actions that would hurt two parent families. Given that just a quarter of Black households are married families, I asked the Governor whether his actions would help or hurt.  Click Below to hear Our Interview with Gov. Pence.
