By Psalm 127:3 says, “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.” Bishop T.D. Jakes’ oldest daughter Cora, who wed Richard Coleman in June 2011, is praying to reap such a “reward” in 2013. The wife and foster mother is sharing exciting news about her health and adoptive daughter Amauri.

In a blog post titled “I Already Have It,” dated Feb. 11, written in Cora’s “Fertility Faith” online journal, she said, “My journey of infertility has been an uphill climb. My body is healed, and I can try to get pregnant without any help.”

Preparing to travel the road to motherhood, she continued, “My husband and I are working on getting our bodies healthy, and getting ready for this to be the year of the promise.”

In the meantime, Cora, who has struggled to conceive due to a disease called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)—It causes small cysts to form on the ovaries, affecting anywhere from 5%-10% of women—has much to celebrate.

She and her husband Richard are close to completing the adoption process for their “outstanding, dramatic, beautiful little girl” Amauri, who has been in the couple’s care since March 30, 2012.
