Indiana Gas Prices Among The Highest In The Country

Indiana’s gas prices are some of the highest in the country.  According to the Triple-A Fuel Gauge report, Indiana has the seventh-highest price at the pump.  A gallon of unleaded gas in Indianapolis right now will cost you three-dollars-95-cents.

 

Crime Rates Rise in Indianapolis

According to a report by The FBI, the rate of violent crime in Indianapolis has increased since 2011. In 2012, there were more than 770 more reports of violent crimes than in 2011, an increase of 8.4 percent.  Most of the crimes were reported as aggravated assaults.

The total number of violent crimes reported in Indy was just shy of $10,000. Among major Indiana cities, Evansville had lower instances of violent crime from year to year.

Miami Ends Pacers Playoff Series

After their best season since 2005, the Pacers have been eliminated by the Miami Heat. The Heat will now face The San Antonio Spurs after beating the Pacers 99-76 last night in Game 7. In the mean time the Pacers have to get David West Re-signed at Danny Granger back out on the floor following Knee Surgery. Congrats to the Pacers on all their success.

Zionsville Man Accused of Raping Date

Police are looking for a Zionsville man accused of raping a woman he met on Craigslist.  Investigators say the woman had been talking to the 19-year-old online since November and met him in person last week.  He allegedly held her at gunpoint and forced her to have sex with him repeatedly.

 

“Operation Blue Light” underway in Midwest

Watch your speed along I-70.  Beginning today, State Police will increase their patrols on the corridor from the Illinois state line to the West Virginia state line.  Officials say Operation Blue Light aims to reduce crashes and criminal activity that tend to spike in the summer travel months.
