Man Charged With Neglect After Child Wanders Streets

A south side Indianapolis man has been arrested after a 4-year-old girl was found wandering in traffic near his apartment near Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive.

The child then bolted away from police and ran to a nearby apartment, where officers said they smelled marijuana and found a man asleep in his bedroom.

Officers identified the man as 25 year old Marvin Jackson, who was supposed to be caring for the girl.

The man claimed the marijuana smell was from the previous night, but officers arrested him on a felony charge of neglect of a dependent.

The child was released back into the care of her mother who was at work at the time.

 

2 Men Accused Of Murdering Teen Headed To Court Friday 

The two men charged in the killing of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found submerged in a southwestern Indiana lake earlier this week are set to appear in court on today.

26 year old Jordan Buskirk, and 25 year old Randal Crosley, are facing charges for the rape and murder of Katelyn Wolfe.

We told you last week about a facebook post from Wolfe’s profile that read “out on a walk with creeps that keep driving by.” Turns out the two men wrote it themselves and also bought condoms, handcuffs, restraint straps, rope and a 20-pound weight. The men met with wolfe to deliever valium pills and weren’t targeting her specifically.

 

Gas Station Selling Discounted Gas Friday

Gas prices are slowly trickling down in central Indiana, and an opportunity to save $1 off a gallon is sure to draw a crowd.

The Circle K gas station on East 96th Street will have a promotion this afternoon in which motorists can get up to 10 gallons of fuel at $1 off the standard price. The promotion begins at 4 p.m. and is being run “while supplies last.”

 

68 People Arrested at Chesney Concert

The continued crackdown of underage drinking by State Excise Police at concerts, resulted in the arrest of 68 people at Last night’s Kenney Chesney Concert at in Noblesville.

Of the arrests, 61 involved minors, seven of them under the age of 18 involved in possession or consumption of alcohol. Six people were charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Excise officers previously arrested 30 people at a Zac Brown Band show, 54 people at a Brad Paisley concert and 52 arrests at a Tim McGraw show.
